OLD BUSINESS:
1. Introductions, verify quorum, approval of minutes. Ensure all attendees sign in on prepared attendance sheets. Election and or appointment of Committee Vice Chair & Secretary. We are encouraging members to select at least one case to read file, follow up & keep Committee informed.

2. 4600 Melrose Av., BEER AND WINE LICENSE REQUEST FOR UNION 76 CONVENIENCE MARKET, ZA2007-5682(CUB), Lee Rabun, note that this case is across the street from our NC at Normandy . Note that the site seems to be all paved over with zero landscaping or street trees, no landscape buffer to the residential to the south, and is directly across the street from a liquor store. There is a church just up Melrose to the west. According to Lee, the license would be within the number allocated by the State for the census tract. Last day to comment is 9/29/08.

Was apparently approved with precedent setting zero side yard setbacks for the above ground parking garage.

18. Will we ever finish the now 13-year languishing Hollywood Community Plan Update? – Open Houses & Workshops that were scheduled for "fall 2006," "early 2007," “mid 2007,” “January 2008,” May/early June 1908 are now scheduled for “Fall 2008.”

19. Proposed Historic Survey & HPOZ for silent film era neighborhoods north of Melrose between Paramount & the 101. Awaiting Garcetti motion.

20. 15 years out of date CRA Historic Survey & Map of the north half of our NC area (roughly everything N. of Santa Monica Bl.). Being updated by CRA at a cost of about $140K with a projected completion of March, 2009.

21. Proposed Hollywood Central Park – 32 ACRE STREET LEVEL PARK over the 101 between Bronson and Santa Monica Bl. Presentation of the consultant’s plan based on the public input meetings is expected soon.
